This has been confirmed in a tweet by Don Wanyama, an official from the president’s office.

The Retired Archbishop of Church of Uganda is reportedly stuck in a UK hospital over bills amounting to over Sh260m for an emergency lung operation.

The president’s contribution comes shortly after the Church of Uganda launched a fundraising campaign appealing to the public to contribute towards Nkoyoyo’s surgery.

The retired Archbishop fell sick in November last year.
