Shock has gripped residents of Butenga in Bukomansimbi after landing on a body of a dead man.

The body of a man who is yet to be identified has been recovered by a resident identified as Kasimu Jjunju who had gone to the forest to tether his cow.

Jjunju says that he was attracted by smell from a decomposing object and on getting closer to the direction of the smell he landed on a body of a dead person.

According Deo Mutate ,Kabigi Village Chairperson the body has spent over a week in the forest because it had started decomposing.

He says that the deceased could have been killed from another place and dumped here because he is not known in their area

The Southern Region Police Spokesperson Noah Sserunjogi has confirmed the incident saying that the body of the deceased has not yet been identified because he had no identification documents.
He says that the body had bruises and wounds on the head, chest and his leg had been cut off.
