The ministry of health has revealed that there were no confirmed COVID-19 patients who were admitted at Lacor hospital in Gulu.
This comes after several reports made rounds on social media that two suspected COVID-19 patients had died at St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor in Gulu.
The ministry’s Director General Health Services Dr Henry Mwebesa tells KFM that they do not have any confirmed patients with COVID-19 who were being treated at Lacor hospital or Gulu district.
The hospital in a statement says that they received three patients with signs similar to COVID-19 although they had other underlying diseases.
The hospital adds that they took samples from these patients and are now waiting for results.
Uganda has 79 cases of COVID-19, 47 recoveries and no deaths.
