Hundreds of patients are stranded at the Masaka Regional Referral Hospital after medical attendants laid down their tools in protest of the arrest of the hospital administrators over alleged fraud.

Security officers working under instructions of the Inspector General of Government and State House yesterday arrested five top administrators of the hospital over failure to account for over Sh 6bn meant for the construction on a ward at the facility.
