Presidential aspirants are picking nomination forms for the third week in a row.
58 Presidential aspirants have so far picked the documents from the Electoral Commission offices ahead of the 2021 polls.
The aspirants include three party-sponsored candidates, namely Charles Bbaale from the Ecological Party of Uganda (EPU), Robert Kyagulanyi from the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Gregory Mugisha Muntu from the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT).
According to the commission acting spokesperson Paul Bukenya, Five female aspirants have collected forms, and are Elizabeth Lugudde-Katwe, Nancy Kalembe, Maureen Kyalya, Phiona Mirembe and Brenda Katushemererwe.
The aspirants also collected supporter forms, to be used to collect signatures indicating the support of not less than one hundred (100) registered voters in each of at least two thirds (2/3) of all the districts of Uganda.
