Parliament’s select committee set up to investigate the alleged fraud in the Standard Gauge Railway project is all set to start work.
The committee has today finalized its work plan, drawing a list of witnesses to appear starting this Thursday.
Addressing journalists at parliament, the committee chairperson Eng Kafeero Sekitoleko said among those expected are the petitioners, the former works minister Engineer John Nasasira the current ministers plus the Chinese construction companies involved.
He adds that the committee also expects to meet president Museveni after hearing from stakeholders.
The committee is expected to present its report on 11 January 2015.
