Shock has gripped residents of Bwaala Village a Masaka town suburb after landing on a body of unidentified man dead.

The shocking incident occurred at Bwala Village in Katwe –Butego division in Masaka District when residents landed on the body of unidentified man dead alongside the road Bwaala- Kitengeesa road.

According to locals the body was seen by a passerby who informed village authorities that latter called police.

The body believed to be of a boda boda rider is of a male aged over 25 years.

The Southern Region Police Spokesperson Noah Sserunjogi has confirmed the incident saying that police could not easily identify the deceased because he had no identification documents.

He says that the deceased’s body has been taken to Masaka referral hospital for autopsy as investigation into the matter goes on.

Sserunjogi says that police has not yet arrested anyone in connection with the murder adding that a hunt for the assailants has started.
