St Balikudembe Market Relocation Expected to Start in Next 3 Months

Relocation of vendors at St. Balikudembe Market is expected to start in the next three months, ahead of its reconstruction.

This is after KETZA international has been awarded   contract for reconstruction of a modern structure market at the seven-acre market.

According to the KETZA international Director Greg Stinson engineers are already on the ground to plan for the relocation area in Kisenyi, a few meters from the market.

The SLOA Chairman Kayongo has urged members who paid part of the required fee to complete payment and those who have not paid to pay-up.

He says out of the 10,000 members of the association, 8,000 have already made their contribution towards the establishment where each member is supposed to contribute sh3m.

Vendors have different views on the idea of giving KETZA International to construct the market.
