A worker at Kaliro sugar factory has survived being crushed by a machine that grabbed him as he pushed canes into the crusher.

Thomas Bagalana  who survived death was taken to Iganga Nakavule hospital with his buttocks cut off by the machine whose  chains pulled him.

The factory supervisor  Moses Wafula says the worker also sustained other injuiries.

He says the factory management has taken the responsibility to foot costs for the treatment of this worker.
