The workers are demanding for a fair distribution and an enhancement of 60% of the released funds by government for their salaries.

Early this morning different members of the support staff from different public universities convened at the ministry of Finance headquarters to discuss and find solution to their demands.

Speaking to KFM after the meeting, the chairperson of the Kyambogo University support Staff Pastor Michael Eladu said they have failed to reach an understanding with the government adding the strike is still on.

Meanwhile Eladu has revealed that this afternoon all support staff from different universities will convene at their respective universities to come up with a common position on the way forward.
