Religious and cultural institutions have been asked to reclaim the management of the schools they founded to save them from the jaws of hungry investors.
This follows the demolition of Nabagereka Primary School by city Tycoon John Bosco Muwonge after it was leased off by the Uganda Land Commission.
The Uganda National Teachers Union(UNATU) General Secretary James Tweheyo says these institutions must demand for the titles of their school land since the ministry and KCCA have failed to safeguard them.
Tweheyo says the ongoing demolition of schools unsparingly will continue affecting the education standards of the pupils especially those under the Universal Primary Education(UPE) program.
