Police at Bigasa in Bukomansimbi District are holding two people for being habitual solar kits thieves.
The suspects have been identified as Ronald Ssekabira , and Vincent Tamale, residents of Kitemi village in Bigasa sub county in Bukomansimbi district.
Preliminary Police investigations indicate that Ssekabira and Tamale attacked the home of Aloysius Nsamba and made away with his solar panel.
It is alleged that the duo took the advantage of Nsamba’s absence from home to invade his home and made away with his kit.
Residents claim that their village is stuck with the problem of solar kits theft saying that thieves take the advantage of locals being away in gardens and night hours to steal these kits.
Enoch Mukasa the officer in charge of Kifuta Police post has confirmed the duos arrest saying that they will be charged with theft when Police investigations into the matter are completed.
He says that Police has also recovered some stolen solar kits from the suspects asking locals that whose kits have been stolen to go to report to police.
