Two children have been crashed dead by a trailer in Seeta town, Mukono district.

According to the Traffic police Spokesperson Charles Ssebambulidde, the driver of trailer parked at the road side and got out without turning off the engine.

The vehicle then begun moving and the driver made a desperate attempt to jump back in and stop it but he failed.

The Trailer then continued in motion and hit a stationary Canter Truck and pushed it all the way to the gate of a kindergarten where the two children were standing, crashing them both.

The deceased have been identified as Joseph Ilakut aged 5 and Jean Kansimire aged 3, both pupils of Waterloo International Kindergarten and Day Care in Seeta.

The trailer bears the registration numbers ZD 6774 and UAZ 761Y while the Canter Truck has the Registration number UAY 052F.

Police has confirmed the arrest of the trailer driver to help with investigations.
