Currently the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company is demolishing structures 30 meters near the power lines in Nakawa, Bwaise, Mulago, Namungona, Mutundwe, Ndeeba, Bukooto and Naguru.

The transmission company says this will go on for a month

Company Managing Director, Erias Kiyemba the settlers on such land are occupying it illegally and many were compensated. 

Two houses have today been demolished at Nabusuggwe Village in Mukono village in the same exercise.
