The Uganda Medical Association has asked aspiring candidates to include health care issues in their manifestos.
The Association’s president Dr. Richard Idro says, the current health sector is wanting and needs to be better funded.
He says the respective Manifestos of aspiring candidates must commit to address challenges of the health sector.
He says currently the country is producing over 500 doctors and other 150 specialists but they are not being utilized.
He says Government should ensure that these doctors are utilized across the 16 government referral health facilities.
