Uganda People’s Congress Party President, Dr Olara Otunnu, has survived a nasty road accident after his official vehicle a Land cruiser V8 registration UAQ 040G that he was travelling in veered off the road and overturned several times.

The incident happened at Angagura Sub-county in Pader district.
It is reported that the front tyre of the vehicle burst resulting into the incident.
Dr Otunnu who was from attending Janani Loum’s celebration in Mucwini Sub-county in Kitgum district was heading to Gulu district.
Otunu, his driver and an unidentified American woman who were aboard the vehicle all escaped with minor bruises.
Dr Otunu was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital Lacor where he is still admitted.
Dr Emilton Odong, the Medical Director St Mary’s Hospital Lacor, has confirmed that Dr. Otunu is still admitted at the facility and being assessed by the doctors, adding that he is in a stable condition.
“Dr Otunu is complaining of body weakness and chest pain but from what we have found at the moment is that he has not suffered any bone fracture,”
