The Uganda Wildlife Authority says it is working out mechanisms to check the rampant crocodile attacks in Mayuge district, after several people were killed by the reptiles.
The deputy director conservation protected area management Charles Tumwesigye has blamed the attacks on the fact that most people in search of clean water go deep in the waters and easily fall prey to the crocodiles.
He now says the authority is to put in place cages to ensure that locals draw water safely.
