Protests have broken out at central market along the Old Kampala road between NRM and DP supporters after the Entebbe Electoral Commission officer’s declared independent and NRM leaning candidate Fabrice Rulinda as the winner of yesterday’s poll.
Upon deployment to calm the protest, the SFC fired live bullets killing one Eric Kyeyune the chairman NRM Kitubulu Katabi and injuring two others.
The protesters say by 12am Rulinda was in third position with 2825 behind NRM’s Kabwama Mutebi with 5257 and incumbent DP’s Kayanja De Paul with 5672.
They say they were surprised when Returning office Tolbert Musinguzi who was guarded by security forces announced Rulinda as winner with 6252.
