Just two days after resumption of business, Parliament is to have another one week recess after the speaker of parliament adjourned the house to the 17th of February.

Rebecca Kadaga said following a business committee meeting, it was realized that most cabinet ministers and some legislators from the ruling party would not be around next week and so not much business could be conducted.

She has however asked government to ensure by the time the house resumes, they present the awaited constitutional amendments. These include proposals for electoral reforms.

Members of the ruling NRM party are set for a retreat at Kyankwanzi that runs from the 7th – 15th February 2015.
