Hon. Proscovia Salaamu Musumba is the Speaker of the National Convention of the People’s Front for Freedom, PFF – the newest Political party in Uganda.
She has been consistent with her fight for good governance for three decades now.
The former MP helped found For us m for Democratic Change where she was the National Vice Chairperson for Eastern region in which she pushed for democratic rule, Justice and Economic empowerment.
Ever since the Party President of PFF Erias Lukwago was arrested joining party chairperson of the Elders Council, Dr. Kizza Besigye and his political aide Hajji Obed Kamulegeya, Salaamu has been putting up a spirit fight to ensure they get justice. Besigye and Lutale face treason charges while Lukwago is on trial on misprison of treason. Salaamu is one of the people accused of having known about the alleged offences and never reported to authorities.
The 64-year old has spoken to The Grind With Patrick Kamara on the state of health for the two incarcerated political icons, her continued persuit for democratic governance, and whether this quest makes her fear for her life.
