Police has denied blocking Forum for Democratic Change’s Kiiza Besigye in Pader district.

Besigye who is the northern region on his party flag bearer campaign trail was headed to Pajule for a rally when his supporters were blocked and tear gas fired to disperse them.

A journalist identified as Ernest Kyazze has reportedly been hurt in the fracas.

The FDC Secretary for Mobilization, Ingrid Turinawe says Besigye had notified police about the event and there was no need to block them.

However, Wilson Kwanyathe Aswa Region police commander denies these reports;
