Police launch investigation into murder of three pupils

Police in Pallisa District have launched an investigation into the murder of three pupils.

The Bukedi region police spokesperson, Michael Odongo, identifies the deceased as Charles Tukei,Joseph Adupa and Francis Odeke.

The pupils were strangled to death and their bodies dumped into odwarata swamp in Gogonyo sub-county.

It is suspected that the trio was involved in petty crimes, although police say they are yet to establish this.

Odongo says one of the murdered children had been a petty offender.

Police recovered the juveniles bodies dumped in a swamp after a tip off by the community.
