Police at Wandegeya station are investigating a suspected murder incident that occurred today 21st August 2023 in the vicinity of the Golf Course roundabout in Kampala.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire a body of a male adult was discovered at the Golf Course roundabout on Monday morning.

“At approximately 8:00 AM this morning, Wandegeya Police received information regarding a potential deceased individual in the area. Promptly responding to the call, our officers arrived at the scene, where they initiated the necessary protocols for processing the crime scene. The body was subsequently conveyed to the City Mortuary Mulago for a postmortem examination,” Owoyesigyire said in a statement.

“The victim remains unidentified, but is presumed to be a male adult in his forties. He was found wearing a green jacket, white trousers, and open shoes nearby,” he added.

Police are hopeful that the CCTV footage will aid investigations.
