The police force has spoken out on the circulating video clip attributed to Hon Onesmus Twinamatsiko encouraging violence against women.

According to a statement from police spokesperson Emilian Kayima, this comes immediately after HE the president castigated men who beat women while speaking at the International Women’s Day celebrations in Busuubizi, Mityana District.

He said that  If it’s true what he is promoting is unacceptable as it facilities crime like  assault  as par Penal Code Act, domestic violence  according to Domestic Violence Act 2010 and others.

He has however said that it’s encouraging that Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament has promised to investigate this matter
