President Museveni Commissions Kamuli Road
President Yoweri Museveni has hailed the Uganda National Roads Authority for getting tough on “thieves” and ensuring value for money.
The president was opening the 58 kilometer Kamuli Jinja Highway and commissioning road works for Kamuli Municipality and Mafubira Trading center Jinja road works.
President Museveni said the rehabilitation of Kamuli Jinja highway at Shs79 billion is undertaken and solely funded by government through the Road Fund.
He was however quick to clarify that although the project had been commissioned, Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) had not officially issued a certificate of completion to the contractor due to some technical and administrative issues which are being addressed.
