President Yoweri Museveni has expressed his government’s commitment to fighting poaching in the country.
This comes after some conservationists have raised concern over continued cases of poaching in the country.

Addressing the media at State House Entebbe on Wednesdy afternoon, the president however said Uganda has done well in terms of recovering elephant populations.

Meanwhile he asked organizers of the forthcoming Uganda’s giant’s club conservation and Tourism Investment Forum scheduled for October to ensure they attract rich conservation motivated investors to help build a nature based economy.
