President Museveni to campaign for NRM campaign in Iganga

President Yoweri Museveni who is also the National Chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party is today expected in the eastern district of Iganga district to campaign for the party flag bearer ahead of Thursday’s by election for the district Woman Member of Parliament.

This seat fell vacant following the death of the former legislator Hailat Kaudha who succumbed to pregnancy-related complications in May.

According to Mr.Don Wanyama the presidential press secretary, the president has interrupted his radio land sensitization campaign to campaign for NRM flag bearer Brenda Asinde.

Other candidates in the race are FDC’s Mariam Naigaga, and Mariam Nakato, Aziza Kakerewe and Olivia Kwagala Mawanda, all independents.
