By Moses Ndhaye:

The Prime minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda has underscored the need to put in place structures that will help the people save Money to cater for their old age.
Currently, 1.7 million people are saving with the National social security fund; but he says it’s imperative that, the rest of the community especially those working in the informal sector be catered for.
The prime minister made the remarks while officiating at the annual torch wards where the National society security fund recognizes community based organizes which have excelled in helping the vulnerable people to transform their lives.

He however, says the national social security fund should continue to be protected, because it has managed to raise the workers contributions to 2.2 billion US dollars.
