By Ruth Anderah.

A re-known Pentecostal church, ZOE Fellowship Ministries led by Prophet Elvis Mbonye has petitioned court seeking for a temporary injunction stopping the National Council of Sports (NCS) from terminating its occupancy at the Cricket Oval grounds.

In their law suit filed before the High Court Civil Division, ZOE Fellowship Ministries contends that if NCS is not stopped, its fellowship meetings of every Tuesday and other activities will be disrupted.

According to the affidavit of a one  Ronald Akankwasa, the Chairperson states that on May 14, 2018, entered into a 2 year tenancy with the NCS for the hire of the Lugogo cricket oval grounds in Kampala which they always use every Tuesday.

But the church officials were shocked to learn from the national newspaper, television and various social platforms of the impending termination and or breach of this contract by NCS.

He contends that NCS has not served the applicant any notice of breach or of termination as provided in the agreement which states that the contract could only be terminated on breach of any of the terms by the tenant.

They now want a temporary injunction against NCS, its agents, servants or employees restraining them from terminating the tenancy agreement with the applicant till the final disposal of the main application.
