Members of the public have been urged to stop wasting all their resources and time in gaming and betting.

This comes as several youths get engrossed in betting with hope of winning fortunes

Now addressing journalists at media Centre, the chairman of the lotteries and gaming regulatory board Manzi Tumubwoine said betting should not be taken as a full time job but rather for pleasure.

Mr Manzi says following signing of the lotteries and gaming act in December last year,  the Authority is now awaiting release of new regulations from ministry of finance for full implementation.

He reveals that government realised revenue of over 30 bn shillings from games and betting last year expecting taxes to increase to 45bn this year.
