The president- elect Yoweri Museveni has assured Ugandans that their security is guaranteed as they exercise their political right yet again today in local council polls.

The president says he has received numerous reports of threats and intimidation of supporters, election officials and candidates aimed at discouraging them from participating in the local council elections.

He however assures Ugandans that as in the Presidential and Parliamentary elections, the local council elections shall be peaceful and successful.
