Speaker hails CSOs on female genital mutilation

The Speaker of parliament has hailed government and the civil society whose joint efforts against female genital mutilation, she says has yielded good results in the Sebei sub-region.

Kadaga has told parliament this afternoon that vices of Female Genital mutilation have significantly reduced with hope that the rest of the sub-region will adopt to similar progress.

The speaker has however asked government to fulfill its pledges to the people of Kapchorwa especially in infrastructural development which will open up the region to investors towards improved livelihood.
