Speaker implores parliament on cancer bill

The Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga has asked president Museveni to ascend to the Uganda Cancer Institute bill lest parliament passes it without further hesitation.

The bill was passed on 5^th May 2015 by the ninth Parliament and sent to the President for ascent but he has but has since remained silent on the matter.

According to Article 91 of the Constitution, the Speaker is allowed on to carry on and passes a bill into law if the president does not respond in 30 days.

The Speaker has given government only today before she takes any further decision.
