Makerere University management is investigating reports that hundreds of students made it to the graduation list last month without meeting the minimum requirements.
Atleast 600 out of the 13,000 could have bribed their way to the graduation list.
However the deputy vice chancellor Academic affairs Prof Ogwang Okello says the colleges have been asked to cross check how some student’s marks could have been altered.
He says a committee has also been set up to look at the entire results management system.
However Makerere University Vice Chancellor Professor Ddumba Ssentamu has refuted the allegations adding that the matter was handled before and the affected students did not graduate
