Two juveniles are among three suspected Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels arrested in Kikorongo, Kasese district.

Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga says the trio ages, 12, 13, and 22 was found with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and a laptop.

Enanga says they tried to cross into Uganda through Kasese where they reportedly have a cell.

“They must have been recruited from Mayuge and were planning to cross over to the DRC. The third suspect also juvenile is a 14-year-old Congolese,” Enanga told journalists on Monday.

In December 2023, the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) said it captured seven more suspected ADF rebels in Kyobe, Bweramule sub-county in Ntoroko district.
