UBC review committee report out
The Uganda Broad casting corporation has been marred in debt and been mismanaged and chronically unfunded.
These are some of the findings contained in the UBC review committee report released this morning.
Speaking at the handover ceremony of the report to the ICT minister, the committee secretary Andrew Kibaya said the committee in its 3 months’ work discovered that the corporation given the government’s little commitment to support it could not deliver on its mandate as a national public broadcaster.
The committee has recommended amendment of the UBC act, increased funding and immediate restructuring as the secretary elaborates.
