By SHABIBAH NAKIRIGYA:

A Ugandan pilgrim who died during pilgrimage in Mecca has been buried this morning.

The deceased identified as 83 year old Hajji Dauda Musoke, died in his room and was buried in the Muslim holy city together with 56 other pilgrims from other parts of the world who passed way yesterday during Hajj activities.

Dr. Tatu Kaggwa who attended to the deceased tells KFM that Hajji Musoke was not in bad condition but generally there is too much sunshine and pilgrims are dehydrated, which might have been the cause of death.

She adds that another Ugandan woman got a miscarriage because of congestion but she is now doing well.

Sheikh Muhammad  Kawenda  the deceased‘s son who travelled with him says that Hajji Musoke only had a common cold but was determined to work hard and fulfill the Hajji obligations.

Hajji Musoke was a resident of Namagoma village in Wakiso district survived by one widow and seven children.

Pilgrims are expected to start returning early next week.
