By Ritah Kemigisa:

Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has denied claims its militants on Thursday night cordoned off the residence of the Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura.

Yesterday news made rounds on social media indicating that military police and Special Forces personnel had been heavily deployed at Kayihura’s home in Muyenga, a Kampala suburb.

In a statement issued today, the UPDF Spokesperson, Brig Richard has dismissed the reports saying they are false and untrue.

Karemire adds that there was absolutely no situation to warrant such deployment.
