UPDF Officer arrested for murder

Police in Kyotera Rakai district are holding a UPDF officer for murder.

TadeoBbale a resident of Gayaza Village in Kyotera Town Council in Rakai district and a UPDF Officer attached to Special Forces school -Kaweweta detach has been arrested for killing one Boaz Tumwiine.

Bbaale had reportedly gone to attend a trade expo at Kyotera armed with a sword which the organizers of the trade fair rejected.

Tumwiine, who was one of the organizers of the fair asked Bbale to take back the dagger failure of which he would not be allowed to access the exhibition ground which angered him.

Bbaale then reacted by cutting Tumwine in the stomach.He was then arrested and taken to police.

Patience Muganzi the officer in charge of Kyotera police station says that Tumwiine died on the way to hospital because he had lost a lot of blood.

Ibin Ssenkumbi the Southern Region Police Spokesperson, has confirmed the incident and Bbaale’s arrest saying that he is likely to be charged with murder when police investigations are completed.

Ssenkumbi has however, condemned Bbaale’s actions saying that he acted unprofessionally because he is aware that weapons are not allowed at such gatherings.
