The Uganda Revenue Authority(URA)  has blamed the shortfall it suffered in January on technical break down of its systems.
According to current statistics, the tax body authority lost Shs15 billion in January due to the technical hitch.
While appearing before Parliament’s committee on commissions, statutory authorities and state enterprises, URA’s chairman board of directors Gerald Ssendawula said the E-taxi system broke down for three days, affecting the entire tax computation process.
He explained that it took almost six days to get the network fixed.
