A 37 year old woman has been arrested for defiling two boys.

The police in Gulu district are holding one Betty Adong for allegedly defiling two boys aged 14 and 15 years in Ocim Village, Lalogi Su-County.

The suspect, who had visited the boy’s parents on August 27th, is reported to have defiled the two boys at night on separate occasions.

However, her luck ran out when one of the boys reported the matter to his father who then alerted the police at Lalogi.

Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed that medical tests carried out on the two boys indicate that they were defiled.

“The suspect will also be examined to establish her mental status”, adds Okema.
He says this is not the first time such an incident is happening in the region.

Late last month, the police in Amuru district arrested a 56 year old woman on allegations of defiling a 10 year old boy.
In June 2011, Harriet Ajok, of Rwot Omiya village, Tegot Parish in
Omoro County was sentenced to seven years by Gulu High Court for defiling a 14-year-old boy.
