She said Ugandans being known for best hospitality, should welcome the pontiff with all the joy that befits him.

Meanwhile the police says all roads to be used by the Pontiff are to be closed at 3:00PM to allow easy movemnet of his entourage.

Specifically, according to the Police spokesperson for Kampal Metropolitan Mr Patrick Onyango, Entebbe Road is to be closed from 3:00PM to 10:00PM on Friday. The road will again be closed to the public on Sunday from 7:00AM -10:00AM after the Pope’s departure.

At the Namugongo shrine where the Pope will hold an open air mass tomorrow morning, hundreds of the faithful have already started flocking the gates amid tight security.
