A South Sudan national who was shot twice when Gateway bus was ambushed yesterday, is fighting for his life at Gulu Independent Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
The Kampala-bound bus registration number UAU 262L was ambushed at Moli in South Sudan yesterday morning leaving two people dead and injuring one.
The victim, identified as 48 year- old Buol Aguto, a businessman in operating in Nimule.
Col John Rugadya Akiiki, the Assistant Division Commander, 4th Division, has confirmed the incident, advising Ugandans to be more security conscious while they conduct business in South Sudan.
He has faulted the South Sudan Army for failure to cooperate when it comes to security matters adding that there is no way UPDF can deploy there.
Early this month, three Kampala –bound buses were attacked along the Juba- Nimule road and passengers robbed of all their belongings.
