Makerere University lecturers have resolved to resume work with immediate effect after they agreed to call off the strike.
The decision follows a meeting the lecturers held this morning on their next course of action following their industrial action that led to the closure of the university on November 1st, on the directives of President Yoweri Museveni.
Last Thursday, the lecturers under their umbrella body Makerere University Academic Staff Association failed to decide after many of them declined to vote in favour of suspending the strike.
