20 witnesses testify in Bombo murder case

Four more witnesses have testified against the UPDF soldier accused of killing 10 people.

The Court Martial sitting at Bombo health center has heard testimonies from four more people including 14 year old Grace Chandiru whom Private Patrick Okot is alleged to have attempted to rape.

The others are the CID Bombo Police station and Lt Geoffrey Odongkara who recovered the gun near Nyimba factory in Bombo town after the shooting.

This brings to 22, he number of witnesses with one more still expected today.

Private Patrick Okot is accused of shooting dead 10 people and injuring several others in Bombo town last month.

He faces charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery and failing to protect army war materials.

The court is chaired by Brig Fred Toolit.
