By Ruth Anderah:

The Director of Public Prosecutions Mike Chibita has brought new charges of being part of a terrorist group against 3 Kaweesi murder suspects.

The newly charged suspects are Ali Mugoya, Abudallah Kala and Hibwani Sinani Zikusooka.

Nakawa Grade One Magistrate Noah Sajjabi says he received the new charge sheet containing the terrorism charges yesterday.

According to the new charges, the trio is alleged to have confessed to being part of a terrorist group –the Allied Democratic Forces between 2006 and 2007 while operating in various places within Uganda and the DR Congo.

Since the charge is only triable by the high court, the accused have been barred from taking plea and instead sent back on  remand until December 7th.
