Court in Mayuge has sentenced a 51year old man to one and half years in prison for stealing a goat worth Shs140 000.

Grade one Magistrate Isaac Imurani Kintu found Jamil Luwuliza a resident of Nakawa zone in Malongo sub-county guilty of committing the offence on July 3.

The Magistrate revealed that the culprit went to the home of Rashid Weka of the same zone located at Mwondha landing site in Malongo sub-county and stole the goat.

Kintu said he decided to send the culprit to Imanyiro prison so that he can come out reformed and serve as an example to others that stealing is unacceptable.
