Police in Bugembe Town Council are holding a 70-year old man for allegedly involving in the theft of cows in Mafubira sub-county

The suspect is said to have stolen two cows belonging to his neighbor Justin Kyemba a resident of Wakitaka village in Mafubira sub-county.

The Bugembe police station OC Samuel Talemwa said the man was caught slaughtering the cows in an abattoir and arrested shortly.

He said residents wanted to lynch him but police arrived on time to save him.

Talemwa said the suspect faces charges of theft.
