CSOs on budget

The civil society has expressed pessimism about the government being able to finance 80% of the national budget.

The Civil Society Budget and Advocacy group argues that this cannot be achieved with the growing external debt, aid cuts and the corruption cases that have robbed the treasury of substantial amounts of money.

The Uganda Debt Network officials Julius Kapwepwe and Julius Mukunda say Ugandans should brace for tough times as government will be seeking to recover these funds through taxes.
