AU observer mission set for Namibia

The African Union Commission is set to dispatch an election observer mission to the Republic of Namibia ahead of the general elections scheduled for 28th November.

Part of the mission’s mandate will entail making an objective assessment of the pre-election and Election Day environment.

The findings of the mission will be contained in AU’s Election Observation report to be released after the election.

The team is expected to arrive in Namibia on November 21st and leave the country on 1st December.

Among those nominated by the Chairperson of the AU Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is Crispy Kaheru from Uganda.
